Luxury Beach Resort, Seychelles

Studio G Interior Design was commissioned to create the interior scheme for this luxury beach resort in the Seychelles, drawing on the surrounding landscape to create a relaxed, elevated sense of place across the property’s bars, suites and outdoor spaces.

Hospitality Interior Design

Our brief was to design a scheme that felt effortlessly tropical without losing a sense of refinement — somewhere guests could feel barefoot and relaxed while still enjoying real quality throughout. We built the palette around warm timber, woven rattan and natural stone, set against lush planting and layered with striking artwork, to create spaces that feel grounded in their island setting.

Design Development and Scope

Our scope for this project included:

Lounge and bar areas – a curved bar in warm timber and pale stone, with a circular suspended bottle display overhead and a backdrop of large-scale hand-painted artwork in vivid blues.

Seating and soft furnishings – deep upholstered sofas and armchairs in textured blues and greys, teamed with woven bar stools and occasional tables in natural rattan and timber.

Ceiling and lighting design – an intricately carved timber ceiling panel, alongside sculptural woven pendant lights and warm ambient lighting throughout the bar and lounge.

Poolside and beachfront areas – a shingle-roofed pool bar and dining terrace, outdoor lounge seating in woven rattan, and painted Adirondack chairs set directly on the beach beneath swaying palms.

Guest suites – calm, airy bedrooms with vaulted timber ceilings, tropical-print rugs, curved upholstered daybeds, and framed views straight out to the trees and sea beyond.

Specification and Detailing

Every element of the scheme was carefully specified, including:

Flooring and decking finished to suit a busy resort environment while keeping a natural, barefoot feel.

Joinery and bar detailing in warm timber with woven rattan accents throughout the bar and lounge areas.

Lighting fixtures, from sculptural woven pendants to warm feature lighting within the carved ceiling panels.

Soft furnishings and artwork, curated with tropical prints, natural textures and bold colour to bring each space to life.

The result is a warm, characterful resort scheme that celebrates its Seychelles setting — relaxed, tropical and built for effortless island living.
