I am still in awe of this project and the client’s visionary genius. The New England-style house reminded me many times of my time in the USA and the various architectural styles we worked on there. It features many beautiful character elements, such as shingle siding, porch fronts, and symmetrical bay windows.

My dear client is from Australia, and the home she grew up in shares a very similar architectural style with this New England-style house. That’s where the connection comes from.

What I loved about this house is how closely we collaborated with the client to design many of the details she requested. Girl bathrooms were designed according to her daughters’ exact vision for tile colors and brass finishes.

Studio G thoroughly enjoyed designing this house, which is filled with many ingenious details, such as the recessed staircase balustrade, a classically detailed indoor swimming pool, and a tropical mural that reflects our client’s colonial-style Australian heritage.

We provided full interior architecture and FF&E design for this substantial four-bedroom family home in the heart of Ashtead, London. Spread across three floors, the lower level features a subterranean basement that includes a swimming pool, utility room, gym, bathroom, garage, and boot room.

The house is built in the New England style externally, while the interior embraces a modern aesthetic. To create an authentic, timeless, and traditional home, the interior design drew inspiration from the architectural language The property showcases bespoke furniture and lighting designs created by our studio.
